Good Morning Crafty Friends! I can’t believe October is flying by so quickly. Halloween will be here in one week! I’m excited since it’s my favorite holiday and I love to hand out candy to the cute kids. But October is not just a time for tricks and treats it’s also Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To help promote this worthy cause, why not make a card for a friend or a loved one, as a reminder card for self-exams and mammograms, a card congratulating a breast cancer survivor, or a card of encouragement for someone currently going through the trauma of breast cancer. Also don’t forget to do your own self-exam and get your mammograms!

Challenge#119: “Let’s Hear it for the Girl’s” Make a card for Breast Cancer Awareness, using any cartridge(s) and using any colors you’d like.

Think Pink!

I used Birthday Bash to cut out the letters and embellished them with white faux stitching.

To stamp the background I used an Inkadinkado stamp set called Friendship. I added my own pink ribbon and a tiny ribbon rose that came from my stash. Thank you for coming by and leaving me such sweet comments! I hope you all like this card and join us at CardzTv for this challenge.

Hi Crafty Friends! How are you doing? I hope your summer has been a fun one! Today I’m sharing with you my Design Team card for Cricut Cardz Challenge #112. The challenge is to make a card with a tag or tags, using any cartridge(s) and using any colors you’d like.

My card below was made using one of those little dollar stamps that so many of us love and love to collect. The cute crab is from Imaginisce’s Splash Dance collection. I colored him with Copic Markers and added Crystal Effects to make him shine! The tag is cut from the Plantin SchoolBook cartridge.

The cute sentiment is from a retired Stampin Up set called Crab & Company.

Crystal Effects adds a perfect shiny gloss.

Thank you so much for coming by today. I know I’ve been absent for a few weeks. I’ll be posting a personal update soon to explain where I’ve been. I hope you enjoyed my card and will join us at CardzTv for this fun challenge!

Happy Wednesday Crafty Friends! Today is the start of Cricut Cardz Challenge #103! This weeks theme is, “You Take the Cake!”. So head to your craft room and make a Birthday card with a cake or cupcake using any cartridges or colors you’d like.

My card this week is sweet and simple. I used the cupcake from the Simply Charmed cartridge. I embellished the card with a polka dot button, acetate satin ribbon and a Happy Birthday sentiment from The Greeting Farm. I hope you like it.

Sweet and simple!

I think this embellishment is a fun way to incorporate your sentiment and add a pop of color.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you play along with us at CCC. There will be a random winner chosen for a set of awesome CardzTv stamps! Have a great week everyone! 🙂

Hello Crafty Friends! How are you today? I’m doing good. It’s a chilly 48 degrees out but the sun is shining so that makes me happy! I have a couple crafty projects I’m going to fit into my schedule today. Are you working on any projects?

Today I’m sharing a card I made for two challenges. The first is Mary’s challenge at Cardz Tv. The challenge is to make project with a cupcake on it. The second is Robyn’s challenge at My Pink Stamper. The challenge is to make a project with a birthday theme. For a closer look please click on the pictures.

I love that cupcake!

I used my swirls cuttlebug embossing folder and glitter to make the cupcake extra cute and yummy!

Happy Birthday is from The Greeting Farm - Happy Chef, Cupcake is from Basic Grey - Cakes.

I used the cupcake from the Create A Critter cartridge, patterned paper, Fiskars threading water punch, swirls embossing folder, glitter, ribbon and a stamped sentiment. I kept the card clean, simple and cute!

Thank you so much for coming by and leaving a comment. I appreciate it so much! Have a wonderful Thursday! 🙂

Hello and welcome to the Advent Calendar Blog Hop!!! I’m so happy that you are hopping with us. First things first, if you came here from Michelle’s blog then you are in the right spot. If you landed here by chance and want to play along or need to get back to the beginning of the hop, please start here at Angelica’s blog. If this is your first time to primpedinpaper.com, I want to say welcome and I hope you find my blog inspiring.

Let’s get started! I’m thrilled to be part of another Hop hosted by the sweet and talented Ruthie.  This Hop includes 16 awesome ladies. I’m excited to be included in this group of talented paper crafters. Thank you Ruthie for hosting another amazing Hop!

This is my first time making an Advent Calender so I was really looking forward to this project. I decided to challenge myself to not use my Cricut. I wanted this Advent Calendar to be something that anyone could put together with minimal supplies. So I got out my Christmas patterned paper stacks, punches, strands of beads, glitter, one very cute set of Lawn Fawn stamps and my hot glue gun. Then I went to town! Click photo’s to see a bigger picture.

2010 Advent Calendar

Each cone is made from a 5x5 piece of patterned paper.

The tissue paper is hand stamped with a peppermint stamp from Sassafras. The cute animals are from the Lawn Fawn, Critters in the Snow stamp set.

I decided to use my circle punch since almost everyone has one in their craft supplies.

The cones are hung with clothes pins that I glittered. The red flower on cone 25 was made by my good friend Susan (suziecrafter).

I hope you liked my Advent Calender. It was a lot of fun to make and I think it looks very festive hanging on my fireplace. Now I just need to get some goodies to put inside the cones. At the bottom of the post I listed the products I used to embellish my Calendar. Whether you keep it simple or embellish it to max, I think it will look amazing. The most important things to me are that all ages can help make it, you don’t need a lot of supplies and of course that you have fun!

Thank you so much for hopping with us today! Before I send you off to your next stop. I have some Blog Candy!!! I apologize for not have a photo of it. But the Blog Candy is a collection of holiday stamped images (which I can stamp in your choice of Black StazOn or Tuxedo Black Memento ink, 20  5×5 sheets of Christmas patterned papers, fibers and some other goodies.

If you would like to be eligible to win all you have to do is leave me a comment. Comments for the blog candy will close at 11:59pm pst Monday Nov. 29. I’ll post the winner on Tuesday afternoon.

Good morning! Brrr, it’s a cold morning here in Oregon. We had a bit of snow on Tuesday.  It was pretty but didn’t last long. How’s the weather where you are?

Today I would like to share with you my Design Team card for Cricut Cardz Challenge #52. This weeks challenge is to make a Christmas card using words. No images! You can use any cartridges and colors you’d like. It was a great challenge and I’m lovin’ how my card turned out. Join the fun and give this challenge a try.  You may be the lucky winner and be entered into the grand prize drawing for November!

Holiday red really makes this card pop!

Some glitter & a bow make for a quick & festive card!

The card measures 5 x 7 and is covered with patterned paper from the DCWV Christmas Combo Stack. I cut two 1/4 inch strips of green cardstock and covered them with green craft glitter. I cut “Happy Christmas” with the Christmas solutions cart. Next I adhered all elements to the card then attached a red bow with crystal effects.

Thank you so much for coming by and checking out my card. I can’t wait to see what you come up with for this challenge! If you have any questions, please let me know.

Before you leave, don’t forget… this Saturday is the Advent Calendar Blog Hop hosted by Ruthie. Please join the fun and get inspired by 15 super talented ladies!! It will be lots of fun and of course blog candy at every stop! Hope to see you there!
